HTC EVO 4G - CAMERA,HDMI AND HANDS-ON VIDEO

The guys at intomobile takes a look at the new HTC EVO 4G. Similarly to the HD2, the HTC EVO 4G sports a giant 4.3-inch display and a 1GHz Snapdragon chipset. The most interesting thing about it however, is that it’s the first phone in the United States to support Sprint’s WiMAX 4G network. This allows it to take advantage of better video streaming, faster data connectivity and a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video calls. It has HTC’s renowned Sense UI on top of Android 2.1, which means users will have access to thousands of applications. Another premium feature of the smartphone is the 8MP camera with HD video recording capabilities.

Intomobile takes the HTC EVO 4G (Supersonic) 8-megapixel camera and HD camcorder for a spin. Notice the camera’s lack of shutter lag and incredible variety of camera controls. The controls themselves have been refined with scroll-wheel interfaces for easy adjustment. The camcorder shoots butter-smooth video in 720p HD.

demo of the HTC EVO 4G’s (Supersonic) ability to stream HD 720p video to an 85-inch TV via its HDMI-out port. The Snapdragon chipset is capable of decoding the video and pushing it out through HDMI with no external help -- now that’s amazing!

Intomobile takes a hands-on look at the newly unveiled HTC EVO 4G (codename: Supersonic) for Sprint. It’s the first Android phone to rock 4G WiMAX support in the US and will come to market later this year. The phone runs Android 2.1 OS and boasts a 4.3-inch display, 8-megapixel camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 4G data, 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, WiFi, GPS, accelerometers, digital compass, HDMI-out port and a kickstand for viewing movies.
